Versión en Español

Papers for publication must be sent electronically to ref@aefin.es. Both pdf or word files are allowed.

Papers must be in Spanish or English. Due to the blind referring process two electronic versions are required. The second one will not contain any information about authors, institutions or acknowledgements. Any information that might allow the reviewers to identify the author(s) must be removed in the anonymous version.

Manuscripts should be double spaced, with wide margins, and printed on one side of the paper only. All pages should be numbered consequently. Titles and subtitles should be short. References, tables, and figures should be printed on separate pages.

The first page of the manuscript should contain at least one classification code according to the Classification System for Journal Articles as used by the Journal of Economic Literature; in addition, up to five key words should be supplied.

Footnotes should be kept to a minimum and numbered consecutively throughout the text with superscript Arabic numerals. They should be double spaced and not include displayed formulae or tables.

Displayed formulae should be numbered consecutively throughout the manuscript as (1), (2), etc. against the right-hand margin of the page. In cases where the mathematical derivation of formulae is complex it must be developed in the Appendix at the end of the paper and before the references.

References to publications should be as follows:

`Rubinstein (1994) reported that...' or as suggested by  Jagannathan et al (1996)…”.

The author should make sure that there is a strict one-to-one correspondence between the names and years in the text and those on the list. The list of references should appear at the end of the main text (after any appendices, but before tables and figures). It should be double spaced and listed in alphabetical order by author's name.

References should appear as follows:

For books
Baxter, M. and A. Rennie, 2000. Financial Calculus: An Introduction to Derivative Pricing. Cambridge University Press, Cambridge.

For contributions to collective works
Brunner, K., Meltzer, A.H., 1990. Money supply, in: Friedman, B.M., Hahn, F.H. (Eds.), Handbook of Monetary Economics, Vol. 1. North-Holland, Amsterdam, p. 357-396.

For articles
Andersen, T., Benzoni, L. and J. Lund, 2002. An Empirical Investigation of Continuous Time Equity Return Models, Journal of Finance 57, 1239-1284.

Graphics will be composed from those on the original manuscript. In the final version the quality of the graphics must be high enough so as to guarantee an appropriate composition. Legends must contain the same styles as the remainder of the paper. Graphics should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and appear at the end of the paper, after the tables. Tables and Figures should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals. Tables must be included at the end of the manuscript, after the references and before graphics and figures.

Any manuscript which does not follow these submission rules may be sent back to the authors. Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to sign a "Journal Publishing Agreement” in order to provide AEFIN with the copyright. Proofs of accepted papers will be sent to the corresponding author. Proofs should be corrected carefully; the responsibility for detecting errors lies with the author. Corrections should be restricted to instances in which the proof is at variance with the manuscript. Other alterations are not allowed.

Submission of a paper will be held to imply that it contains original unpublished work and is not being submitted for publication elsewhere.

Executive Editors are not responsible for lost or damaged papers.
